Anecdotes from your big day: "The entire experience was quite surreal. One of the most beautiful moments was having 18 members of our family and our best friends perform the puja with us. We all sat in a circle and did it together. It was a beautiful scene and we are so lucky to have had that."

What was your wedding like?
"Intimate, personal and vibrant would be the three words I could use to describe our wedding," says Aditya. Despite having smaller, intimate functions, everything was meaningful and felt just right.

When inquired about how it felt to meet the respective families, they revealed that both their families were extremely welcoming. Amit's family went the extra mile to make sure that Aditya felt comfortable, and vice versa. "My family and friends probably love Amit more than they love me," says Aditya.

While talking about their magical wedding, Aditya said, "We both knew what the other person was thinking and things unfolded very organically. We both knew it was time for us to get married and there was an unspoken understanding."

"We are a very low key couple in that sense and never really felt the need to do any of that," said Aditya Madiraju, while telling us about there not being a formal proposal. As time passed, they both knew that they wanted to take their relationship to the next level.

"I think we were quick to fall in love, we both knew after the first date that this was something real. It took a few months to realise how deeply connected we both were, and that every day is a new adventure. We both believe you fall in love a little bit every day once you meet your soulmate. They had an intimate mehendi ceremony in their backyard, which was decorated with traditional marigold flower and beautiful lights.

Sharing a common interest in fashion and a mutual love for travel, the two instantly connected. "It felt great to meet someone on the same wavelength who shared similar interests," said Aditya, while reminiscing about their first date at a Mexican restaurant near Wall Street, that lasted a long 4 hours.
