Palak reminisces, “I was having the TIME OF MY LIFE the first night at the after-party and twisted my foot in the ball pit. We went to the hospital at 3 am and my mama who knew it was an actual fracture lied to us and said it was just a small hairline fracture so my parents don’t freak out. It was too funny! My best friends walked in the next morning, extremely nervous and I was on a wheelchair getting ready with two hours of sleep. The thing I was worried about was NOT how will I get married like this but ‘how will I dance?’ I was very clear, I’m getting married only once to literally the best boy ever so I wasn’t going to let a fracture ruin that. I decided to wing it, did all my dances and enjoyed my wedding to the fullest with one leg! If I could do my wedding all over again I’d still do it with a fracture.”
During the party, Palak tripped and ended up with a fracture on her foot. It was a very stressful situation for everyone but the couple stayed strong and did not let the fall dampen anyone's emotions.
The three-day-long wedding at the Shangri-La, Oman, began with "The Arabic Souk with Mehendi''. The decor was based on the middle east market vibes with a lot of vibrant colours of fabrics and rugs.
As her brother's best friend Aditya never stood a chance with Palak until the two eventually got to know each other and started dating when they were in school.
After almost a decade of being together, the couple said their vows in a gorgeously sunny outdoor wedding, planned and executed by Momente Weddings.

Darshan Shroff, co-founder and partner at Momente Wedding says, "We had the most fantastic time planning Palak and Aditya's wedding. The couple wanted fun elements at the wedding and they were absolutely open to different ideas. It felt like we were planning a wedding for our family member. The flow of ideas and execution was excellent and it showed at the wedding in each and every function. Each event had a distinct style and flavour of its own... from the Arabic Souk to the Mykonos themed beach party to a Western-style five-course sit-down dinner. The entire family was a pleasure to work with it and I can say it was one of the most fun weddings we have planned."
Next up was a beautiful sunset beach wedding with a backdrop of flowers and dried pampas. The Baraat was a fun affair with the DJ, Dholwalas and Aditya arriving in a magnificent vintage car.
The Sangeet was to have a hep club feel, so the planners had the whole evening around lights and music. There was a paparazzi team for the guests to take some fun pictures. Palak nailed the sangeet performances, raising the benchmark for #BrideGoals even with the cast on!
