In fact, Personalised games, vintage décor, and performers dressed in theme—your wedding celebrations are the perfect time to indulge in your creative dreams and add a twist of fun to the ceremonies. In fact, there’s so much you can do to pay homage to your beautiful love story, to make your own magic, and most importantly, set yourself apart from the rest.
“In terms of décor elements, we have seen a return to the’80s, with more brides opting for neon lighting, quirky signages, nostalgic movie posters, music album adverts, and vintage vinyl records from the decade,” states Arun Bablani and Rahul Kumar, co-founders of Vivaah Weddings. And there are many other wedding trends young couples are choosing that are far from regular—from the bridal entry on a marigold-laden cycle to ‘don’t get blinded by our love’ quirky sunglasses.
Consider including your love story with décor elements, customised wedding signs, or even a signature drink. Your personality also plays a big role in determining the vibe of the wedding. While the boho bride can curate her wedding with a rustic, antique vibe; the fun-loving bride can go for bold colours and out-of-the-box elements such as colourful scooters, cartoon characters, floor board games, and more. On the other hand, the environment-conscious, sustainable bride will want to make use of of low-waste, non-toxic materials to create fun décor elements such as recycled paper flower arrangements. “It seems like the world is sensibly moving towards sustainability, along with going back in time with the retro theme,” state experts from Vivaah Weddings, an award-winning bespoke wedding planning and management service.
Regardless of the detail of choice, remember, it should be all about you and your spouse-to-be. Here are 60 quirky ideas, curated specially for Brides Today Digital readers, to take inspiration from.
