I haven’t had a chance to wear it anywhere yet and from the looks of it, I won’t be attending a wedding anytime this year! I paired my outfit with Chanel sneakers, and decided to skip accessories altogether.I’m big on heels, usually. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve truly started valuing the importance of comfort, so I would definitely recommend sneakers to anyone looking for ease. I think sneakers with an Indian outfit is a great idea, especially for a destination wedding.For weddings, I usually wear a lehenga or a pre-draped sari. I also try to choose an outfit that is dramatic and striking in impact, but also comfortable and lightweight. You’re not likely to find me wearing anything too ornate or OTT. But I love a good, statement choker or necklace to elevate a simple outfit.” -

I didn't accessorise much, and kept my look super-simple, because comfy shoes equal lots of dancing; and lots of dancing equals maang tikkas and earrings falling off!As much as I love looking a few inches taller, being a professional barati is not an easy job! Most of the times, I’ve worn sneaks under my lehenga to recover from all the running around in heels that happened at the previous function!At weddings, I prefer being underdressed, and the ‘wedding’ style I have developed over the years is very old-school and effortless .
