5 Ways to Restyle Your Wedding Lehenga by Arpita Mehta
For Brides Today Digital’s 1001 Ideas Series, designer Arpita Mehta selects her favourite piece from her recent most collection, TrenTradition, and shows you how to style it in different ways. "My constant advice to every bride is to find a piece that you absolutely love!" she shares. “Your wedding lehenga is going to be one of the most important outfits of all your functions, so utility shouldn’t be the only deciding factor because if you buy something you adore, you will always find a way to wear it again. Pick bridal outfits that you fall in love with… do not follow a trend,” the designer states. Arpita shares that she chooses an ensemble from all her collections for her personal wardrobe and this lehenga was the one she chose from TrenTradition. “I love it because it is very easy to style and not too heavy, either. The fresh raspberry-pink colour is striking yet traditional, and looks beautiful on me! The subtle cream and beige embroidery makes it a classic addition to any wardrobe,” she says.
“I’ve teamed the lehenga with a beautiful off-white, crochet, cross over top with bell sleeves. I had picked it from a vintage store in Ibiza. I accessorised the look with some pearls on my neck to nail the boho-chic vibe.”

“An easy way to restyle any lehenga skirt is by making your favourite bralette do double-duty as a blouse. I chose a gorgeous white crossover one to go with my lehenga for a fun, fuss-free vibe.”

“For a more boho-chic vibe, I added a sleeveless white top with the lehenga. When paired with the right accessories – a bindi, bangles and a gorgeous dupatta, the casual top transforms into a more wedding-appropriate outfit!”
