YouTube channels that will help you ace your dance performance at a sangeet ceremony

All the inspo you need to be the Madhuri Dixit of your family!

In its true essence, an Indian wedding is a festival in itself—delicious spreads, trendy ethnic ensembles, grand set-ups, rituals, and, of course, all the dancing. Be it a grand Indian wedding or an intimate one, wedding celebrations in India are incomplete without dance performances. From an impromptu family dance for the couple to a choreographed solo performance at a sangeet, here are a few YouTube channels that can help you shine as the star of the ceremony.

Team Naach

Choreographers and now famous YouTubers, Nicole Conseassao and Sonal Devraj can be called the masters of  ‘sangeet choreographies’, for their step-by-step tutorials have pretty much turned people with two left feet into decent dancers (my 26-year-old cousin, who refuses to even move a muscle in his body, is testament to this). Their choreographies are easy to achieve and don’t demand a body that flows like fluid.

Natya Social

Another channel that will help you put up a stellar performance at a sangeet is Natya Social. They’re a team of dancers who take workshops every weekend. Their content features various dance forms, from hip-hop and classical, to freestyle. You can pick what goes with your vibe and set the stage on fire.

Jeel Patel

In case you plan on delivering a solo-banger performance at a sangeet, fret not; YouTuber and choreographer, Jeel Patel has you covered. As you browse through her channel, you will realise she has choreographed the trendiest wedding songs you can jam on. The ‘London Thumakda’ choreography on their channel has garnered 7.3 million views (and counting); so, if you have the song on your list, this is your cue to recreate this choreography.

One Stop Dance

Payal Shah, Mitali Vasant, and Hasti Chheda, the owners of ‘One Stop Dance', a YouTube channel, have an entire series dedicated to wedding special choreographies. Whether you plan on doing a group performance, a duo, or a solo, they've got something for everyone. Their groovy mash-up music is sure to get everyone present in the room to shake a leg.

Khyati Jajoo

Khyati Jajoo, the owner of ‘Bask Dance Academy’ and a YouTuber, is an effortless dancer. Her simple wedding choreographies, however, don't demand you to be one. Her dances are fun and achievable; all you have to do is pay close attention to her moves and dance your heart away.

Dhanashree Verma

Dhanashree Verma's choreographies have been quite a rage for some time now. And if you manage to recreate her choreography, you are sure to be declared the Madhuri Dixit of your family.
