Vastu Shastra secrets for a blissful marriage and relationship

Welcome joy and happiness in your homes and lives.

In today's digital age, where apps simplify our lives, Vastu Shastra stands out as an ancient science. Couples utilise it to craft stress-free, positive home environments fostering love and enhancing relationship compatibility. According to the science of Vastu, every direction has a specific attribute and varying energy levels. And to make these energies work optimally for you, the science suggests specific directions in which the various rooms should be, the placement of mirrors and windows, the dominant colour of the house, and so on. These changes and restructuring are said to directly influence and improve the vibes of the house and the outlook of the people living in it. Vastu Shastra is also said to have an impact on interpersonal relationships. If you are a follower of Vastu Shastra or are remotely piqued by the way it can transform or improve your realtionship with your partner, here are some tips. However, please note that these are general tips and the results may vary on an individual basis.

The position of the rooms according to Vastu Shastra

Ideally, the southwest direction can be used to plan a bedroom, living room, drawing room, etc. According to bedroom Vastu for couples, these directions assist in improving love, intimacy, and understanding. If you’re constructing your dream home from scratch, it is advisable not to construct your bedroom in the north, east, or northeast. Moreover, the direction in which your head and feet point also makes a difference. Vastu Shastra recommends not sleeping under a beam and ensuring that your head faces south and your legs point towards the north.

Southwest and north of the northwest directions are said to help couples maintain a harmonious relationship. These directions decide and dictate the love, attraction, and intimacy that the two partners share. However, you need to ensure that the mirror in the bedroom is placed on the south or west wall of the bedroom and is not facing the beds. A wooden bed frame is preferred over a metallic one as the former is known to exude warmer and more positive energy compared to the latter, which generates cold energy. Do not have a single light on the bed as it’s inauspicious and an indicator of the couple facing health issues.

The kitchen should be situated in the southwest corner of the house, as the area is associated with health and nourishment. On the other hand, some directions bear low energy levels and are meant for accommodating toilets or dustbins. A washroom in the southwest direction drains the harmony in the relationship.

If couples are decorating their room with photographs and artifacts, ensure that they’re in pairs and never single. Family photos must be placed in the southwest, while couple photos in the west direction are highly recommended. The paintings should look and feel positive and should be placed on the eastern wall of the bedroom. According to Vastu, it is not advisable to have your electronic gadgets, especially those related to work, inside the bedroom, and if you do, cover them with a cloth at night. Couples should dedicate a separate space for work-related items.

Colours and decor

Avoid using dark colours such as black, grey, brown, and cream for your bed sheets, pillow covers, curtains, and wallpapers for your house. Instead, go for bright hues like pink, orange, blue, and yellow. Just like your bed, opt for wooden furniture. If you want to make the house seem pleasant and warmer, bring in flowers and plants. That said, use fresh flowers and avoid artificial ones. Having non-thorny plants in your room will also help the relationship grow.
