The best bachelorette destinations for every personality

The big wedding celebration is incomplete without a bachelorette party with your BFFs.

For the city girl

Amsterdam, Netherlands

If it is good enough for Priyanka Chopra Jonas, it’s good enough for you! And that is because Amsterdam offers far more than just scenic bike trails and museum visits. You and your gang of girls can consider a night of pub-hopping in De Wallen, the city’s famous red-light district. Head to Bar The Tailor, Cafe de Kroegtijger, or Pllek for delicious meals, and make sure you visit Hiding in Plain Sight, which has been designed as a secret clubhouse! Book yourselves a party cruise that will take you through the iconic sights, including the seven bridges, and end at a nightclub (with free entry as well). Oh, and Amsterdam’s Magic Mike Show can definitely be considered for some harmless fun, before you head back to your beau.

New York, USA

Whether you’re a foodie, shopaholic, or theatre geek, there’s no such craving that the Big Apple can’t satiate. For those who enjoy elegant evenings out, Alice’s Tea Cup is just right to host a bridal shower. Or you could even host a Make-Your-Own-Lipstick Party at the Bite Beauty store’s lip lab. However, the thriving nightlife is NYC’s biggest draw, and a visit to some of the best bars is essential: Mace, Clover Club, Panorama Room, and Bemelmans Bar are some options to try. And before calling it a night, a stop at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge is a must—which offers both indoor and outdoor rooftop dining, with award-winning décor. A side note: they serve delicious pancakes with candyfloss!

Paris, France

Does your travel wish list include sightseeing and shopping, with a side of bar-hopping? Paris awaits you. Eiffel Tower presents the perfect (read: sparkly) backdrop for pictures with your girls—turn to Kim Kardashian and Sophie Richie for inspiration—and a private cruise on The Seine is a must, too. Follow up with drinks and dancing at L’Arc Paris, or with wine tasting at Le Clos Montmartre, a vineyard tucked away behind the Sacré-Coeur. Now, can you leave the City of Love without visiting The Louvre? Certainly not. And neither should you pass on the 25-minute sky ride aboard a six-seater Airbus H135 helicopter!

For the glam girl

Ibiza, Spain

The Spanish island awaits you and your besties with its famed cocktails, partying, and more... Follow up a night of grooving to some of the best artists at the Amnesia Club, with a sunbathing session at the Cala Carbó beach that offers clear-blue waters and beach beds. You can even book a bachelorette party photoshoot with your crew—depending on your preference (and patience), you can opt for a package that lasts anything from 30 minutes to two-hours... And if you plan well in advance, you can get your looks customised for the shoot as well. After all the partying, you’ve certainly earned a spa day. The Zentropía Palladium Spa and Wellness at the Grand Palladium Palace Resort is the perfect way to unwind. And since a shopping spree is essential, head over to Marina Botafoc that is home to some of the most glamorous luxury brands (like Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney). Or if you prefer local finds, turn to the streets of Eivissa Harbour, or even the Santa Gertrudis village that hosts a number of vintage boutiques.

Las Vegas, USA

Home to some of the world’s best casinos and clubs, Sin City has a lot more to offer than what meets the eye. Book a spot on the Sunset Strip that features a variety of bars, restaurants, comedy clubs, and even spas, stores, and bookshops. We recommend that you rent a limousine or a party bus to explore the city (they also make for some great photo ops!). For breathtaking views of the city, get a table at Skyfall Lounge, or if you’d prefer a pre-Prohibition era vibe, then The Laundry Room is just right with its ambience and drinks menu. For a more budget-friendly experience, explore Downtown. Start with brunch at the casual French bistro Bouchon, followed by drinks (and dancing) at Marquee for a day well spent. Finally, unwind by the Garden of the Gods pool at Caesars Palace, or hop aboard the Vegas Chocolate Tour to satiate your sweet cravings. P.S: stay away from hotel rooftops to avoid creating your own version of The Hangover!

Seoul, South Korea

A South Korea Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt is the best way to make—and capture—memories with your squad. This package offers a range of experiences to soak in, from sightseeing to pub crawls and even bridal trivia for you and your girls to enjoy together. Head for scrumptious Korean barbecue at Itaewon Street, which is one of the city’s most popular destinations for its retail therapy, bars, and clubs. Shop till you drop at Dongdaemun Market, and sing your hearts out at Grand Hyatt’s renowned karaoke bar, Helicon. For a much-needed, pre-wedding pampering session, you can’t leave this city without indulging in the traditional Jjimjilbang experience at the women-only Spa Lei sauna.

For the adventurous girl

Cappadocia, Turkey

Incredibly Instagrammable, Cappadocia is just the place to visit to add an exotic flavour to your bachelorette. Kick off your vacation with a hot-air balloon ride offering panoramic views of the rugged landscape. But if heights make you uneasy, saddle up and ride through the valleys that lie between the scenic villages of Göreme and Çavusin. They boast ancient cave churches, including a 5th-century church of Saint John. For lodging, the elegant interiors at Sultan Cave Suites will transport you to a different era. A visit to Cappadocia would be incomplete without a traditional Turkish meal, and La Vita Cafe Pub in Ürgüp comes highly recommended. Style tip: bright, flowy dresses will make you pop against the monotone landscape.

Puducherry, India

This city is known as the ‘Paris of the East’, and for good reason. Once a French colony, the architecture of Puducherry is a confluence of cultural influences of the French and local heritage, offering a delightful mix. And the vibrant walls of the city will lend the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot with your girls. We recommend that you explore the city on a bike to truly immerse yourself in the spirit of the union territory. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the many delectable dishes. Revel in the soul food at Villa Shanti restaurant, or take to the quaint, café-laden streets for a lazy evening snack. A tranquil stroll along the Promenade beach—and a good ol’ cup of Joe at the Bay of Buddha—is the perfect antidote for pre-wedding jitters.

Tulum, Mexico

Pack a tonne of swimsuits and straw hats for this tropical paradise that features beautiful, clean waters and
upscale beach parties. The best time to experience this city is between February and April, for there’s ample sunshine to bask in. On arrival, head to Raw Love for a light brunch of plant-based dishes and gluten-free desserts. Another restaurant to visit is Hartwood, that requires bookings up to a month before, for its locally-sourced, in-season dishes. A visit to Cenote Calavera is a must—a swimming hole that has underground caves and even offers scuba diving. It isn’t free, though, so make sure to book your slot. For animal lovers, you can snorkel with giant turtles at Akumal beach. By sunset, you should have a drink in hand—head to Nômade, Papaya Playa Project, or Gitano Bar, for their creative cocktails, guest musicians, and DJs.
