Tips to have the perfect beach wedding
Sand or no sand, it's going to be a dream day.
Have you always dreamed of having a beach wedding? There is nothing quite as surreal as taking your pheras (or vows) under sunny skies and before the vast open sea. However, planning a beach wedding is tougher than any other kind of wedding. There are too many moving parts and too many chances for chaos to ensue. But that doesn’t mean you should give up on your dream. We’ve listed down a few points you could follow to have the perfect beach wedding. Take notes.
Choose your location carefully
Beach destinations all over the world are gorgeous in their own way. They hold a certain charm that other destinations (no matter how beautiful) can’t match up to. However, picking the right beach and locale for your wedding is crucial. On one hand, if it’s too commercial and populated, it will be tough for you and your guests to have a good time. On the other hand, if it is too secluded, people won’t be able to reach there easily. You might also want to think about indoor backup venues just in case the weather is not in your favour. In theory, it might be romantic to get married in the pouring rain but in reality, it will be painful to have to reschedule because you don’t have a backup.
Be careful with the set-up
Wooden or acrylic chairs will not hold up if it is extremely windy or rainy. Same with the decor. Small vases, candlesticks or centrepieces on the tables will shatter immediately. And this is the kind of chaos that makes for amazing stories later, you want your wedding day to go seamlessly. The best way around this is to have a tent with floral decor for the guests and heavy vases around the open-air mandap. You have to whether-proof everything, but it will be worth it at the end of the day.
