Cocktails, music, and unforgettable flavours!

There's nothing like a good old-fashioned date night with your partner to keep the romance alive. And what are the most important elements to make a date night special? The company, the right food, some drinks, and a great ambience are some of the things we can think of. Thankfully, we’re spoilt for choice when looking for romantic restaurants in Delhi. From innovative cocktails to a mesmerising ambience, these places promise to add some allure to the evening. Take your pick and woo your partner with an unforgettable meal.

QLA, Mehrauli

At Qla, you find yourself surrounded by vivid shrubbery accents and muted interiors. The sexily dark environs set the mood for the evening. The overall vibe is undeniably romantic—minimal yet warm. We’d suggest dining outdoors so you can enjoy glimpses of the starry sky and the Qutub Minar in the distance. Soft jazz tunes promise to keep you and bae entertained while you savour delectable meats, seafood, cocktails, and exquisite wines.

Kampai, Aerocity

For lovers of Japanese food, Kampai is a haven. With a variety of ramen bowls, sushi, uramaki, and tempura, the menu offers a perfect variety of experimental and comforting dishes. The floor-length red curtains add a touch of intimacy to the space, as do the private tables nestled under a ceiling of cherry blossoms. Once you’re settled in, dig into a variety of delicacies from the land of the rising sun, and be sure to sample their cocktail menu too.

Olive Bar and Kitchen, Mehrauli

With all the elements of a classic date-night location, the setting is a Mughal mansion turned alfresco Mediterranean oasis that sits in the shadow of the historical Qutub Minar. Olive is the ideal place for an unforgettable meal. With its white walls, pebbled courtyard, bougainvillaea surrounding, and musical air, a meal at Olive makes it feel as though time has stood still. Their European menu is a huge hit, with the tangerine ceviche and the sea crab being our personal favourites.

Lakhori, Haveli Dharampura, Old Delhi

Nestled in the crowded bylanes of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi is an artfully restored haveli serving up culinary and cultural experiences. Haveli Dharampura is a UNESCO-awarded heritage building where high tea is accompanied by traditional activities like kite-flying, followed by kathak performances or classical music. The in-house restaurant Lakhori serves a delectable seven-course chef’s tasting menu inspired by the Mughlai cuisine. Enchanting views of Old Delhi’s minarets from the rooftoom will have you and your SO returning time and again.

Fio Cookhouse and Bar, Nehru Place

Though located in Nehru Place, this restaurant feels like an idyllic getaway. A short flight of stairs leads you to a quiet tree-lined corridor until you stumble upon the spacious outdoor seating. Inside, you can enjoy the music that drifts through the air and revel in the gold lighting. With everything from Italian and French to seafood options, the food menu does not disappoint and the cocktails are a class apart.
