You’ll definitely be the best-looking guest everywhere!

Let’s be honest—India doesn’t have a wedding season; it's an all-year-round 'phenomenon'. And the big fat Indian wedding brings with it not only many, many functions and ceremonies, but also the Herculean task of planning every detail of every look and outfit for each of the events. So, we’ve tried to make it slightly easier for you.

Over the years, Ananya Panday has carved out her own niche for ethnic wear, which we absolutely love. From shimmery lehengas perfect for a cocktail night look and minimalistic blouses for that Bollywood-type haldi ceremony, to vibrant saris paired with stunning jewellery for mehendi, there’s lots to draw inspiration from. Find below our favourite Ananya Panday ethnic looks, that you can cop for the next wedding you attend to be the best-looking guest over there!

White, sequence and everything glam

Panday’s first sari moment was in everyone’s favourite, Manish Malhotra’s designs. The sari was a pearl white colour, embellished in silver sequin that Panday paired with simple earrings. Loosely draped on the sleeveless sequined blouse was the ideal way to wear to it—we’d definitely recommend it. And here’s a pro tip: pair this outfit with minimalistic make-up for a classy and understated look.

All things pink

This fuchsia pink lehenga with silver sequence and embroidery is ideal for an evening sangeet function. The outfit is the perfect blend of comfort and beauty, and the sleeveless, low-neck pink blouse is beyond stunning (We promise you could have your ‘palat’ moment in this). While Panday chose to pair this with matching earrings, you could also add a necklace for a more festive look.

We love pastels

This pastel green lehenga, with a sleeveless blouse and dupatta, is everything you need for your best friend’s mehendi. We love that Panday paired the outfit with earrings and a maang tikka giving it the extra oomph and traditional touch to complete the look. Here’s your cue to take some fashion inspo from this look and pamper yourself with some retail therapy before you attend the next wedding.

Oh and Bollywood’s favourite bright red, too

This look couldn’t get more filmy and Bollywood than it already is! Panday’s outfit transition into this stunning bright red sari has our heart. The bright red sari with little embellishment is nothing short of perfect for a cocktail party. And if there’s one thing we can promise, it’s this: heads will turn.

All that glitters...

We absolutely love this sheer, gold and pearl-embellished sari, draped in the most elegant manner. You can choose to wear this for the main wedding ceremony, or for a night-time reception to really shine bright. Pair it with some pale gold stilettos, a choker and some simple earrings to complete the look.

Switch up colours for a classic black outfit

This black-and-white outfit with flared pants, an embroidered sleeveless blouse, and an ankle-length jacket is perfect for all those who love to shake it up on the dance floor during a sangeet or a cocktail party. In fact, the outfit is complete without add-ons of any kind of jewellery, too. So, here’s one for those who love everything festive but minimal.
