PS: Your outfit need not be all yellow!

When we think about a haldi ceremony, we simply assume the dress code to be yellow. If it is your own wedding, you may already be shortlisting yellow or mustard outfits from your favourite designers. If it is your loved one’s haldi, you may have a bunch of outfits in the same hue sitting in your cart, while you wonder which sunflower-coloured piece will look the best on you.

While it is okay to go all yellow (Coldplay will agree!), sometimes, it just takes a little bit of the colour, in your outfit, accessories or simply the decor, for haldi vibes!

Take cues from these Bollywood actors who picked the most exquisite looks for themselves for their haldi functions.

Katrina Kaif

For her haldi ceremony, Kaif picked an ivory Sabyasachi lehenga with gota patti detailing. She wore her dupatta around her shoulders, and paired her lehenga with floral accessories by Floral Art & Design Studio. Meanwhile, there was enough haldi on her to bring a dash of yellow to the look!

Athiya Shetty

Shetty opted for an embroidered ivory lehenga by Ritu Kumar, which took around 2,000 hours to create. It was a re-creation of a vintage Ritu Kumar outfit and featured antique gold work. Shetty kept her jewellery minimal with a maang tikka being the highlighting piece.

Alanna Panday

Panday’s haldi look was a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary as she wore a custom Payal Singhal ecru georgette sharara. She paired it with a backless choli with velvet appliqué and zardosi work.

Kiara Advani

Advani wore an embroidered orange kurta-sharara set during her haldi ceremony, and styled it with chunky jewellery.

In another look, Advani wore a Manish Malhotra lehenga, with a yellow dupatta for adding a dash of haldi aesthetics to her look.
