If there is one thing that every bride and groom, and for that matter relatives, friends, and anyone else attending weddings, can vouch for right before the big day, it is the confusion of what to wear. In today’s times, when there is so much to aid our inspiration for one’s wedding—from celebrity lookbooks, colour palettes, crafts, and more—knowing what suits your sense of style, budgets, and where to buy it can be harder than you imagine. Which is why we, at Brides Today, teamed up with the DLF Mall of India to bring you a wedding fashion celebration to answer all your woes.
In a night to remember, kicked off with an address note by Ruchika Mehta, India Today’s Lifestyle and Luxury Group Editor-at-Large and Editor Brides Today, all ethnic brands from the DLF Mall of India came together for a stellar fashion show that celebrated a variety of styles, colours, frames, and aesthetics.
Whether it’s a mehendi ceremony by the poolside or a cocktail evening, a day wedding or one under the stars—the show had you covered with its wide variety of looks for both brides and grooms. From traditional saris and kurtas to flowy pants, and from subtle pastels to bright reds, there were a variety of looks for every kind of bride. And no, the show did not forget the grooms. Shervanis in pastels to embroidered jackets in dark colours—there were enough looks for the grooms to perfectly complement the brides. Add to that the display of bridal jewellery—from danglers and jhumkas, to simple diamond strings and chokers.
If all that wasn’t enough, it was a star-studded night too, with the big showstopper moment of Shobhita Dhulipala walking down the ramp in a stunning red and gold Ritu Kumar ensemble and closing the show with Pushpa Bector, Senior ED, DLF Retail.
