How to use rose water in your pre-wedding skincare routine
It’s natural and gentle on your skin!
Women in the Middle East have been using rose water to stay glowing since forever. Even in India, rose water has been a very popular part of beauty routine and our grandmothers will vouch for it! It’s natural and hence, free from any harmful chemicals. It’s also incredibly gentle and doesn’t irritate the skin. Rose water is easily available in the market and also, can be made in your very own kitchen! This magic potion is inexpensive and yet, works efficiently in making your skin shine!
If you’re getting married any time soon, it would be wise to include rose water in your pre-wedding beauty routine.
Here’s how you can do that.
Add to your face mask
If you’re using a powder-based face mask, such as Multani Mitti, instead of regular water, add rose water to it! Even if you’re using a sheet mask, you can apply rose water on your face before putting the mask on. This will further enhance your face mask, ensuring you reap double the benefits of the same.
Use as a post hair removal spray
Ever get redness and itchiness post-waxing or shaving? Sometimes, you even get bumps post hair removal. What happens when you give in to the temptation to scratch? You end up with rashes and that’s not something a bride would want to get in an ideal situation. Use rose water on your body post hair removal, as its antibacterial and astringent properties help soothe the skin.
Add it to your bath
Why not give the rose water nourishment to your entire body? Simply add it to your bath. You will not only get out of the shower, smelling delightfully of roses but also have soft and supple skin for the rest of the day!
Use it pre-moisturising your body
If you have a winter wedding, your skin is bound to become dry. Protect your skin’s moisture by spraying rose water all over your body after a shower. Top it up with some body lotion and the cold months will have nothing on you!
Use as a toner
Rose water helps keep your skin looking fresh and in minimising your pores. You can replace your toner with rose water, which also helps control sebum production.
