Gucci’s artistic revival 

The Gucci Ginza Gallery, in the upmarking shopping district of Ginza in Tokyo, recently celebrated the renaissance of 60 vintage Gucci Bamboo 1947 bags, predominantly from the ’80s and ’90s. As an ode to Gucci’s 60-year legacy in Japan, the House curated an exhibition showcasing the classic technique of bamboo handles, originally introduced by Guccio Gucci in Florence back in 1947. Reimagining this tradition through a contemporary lens, these iconic bags will be available for purchase as art pieces once the exhibit concludes.

Extending the legacy of leather

Montblanc has introduced a variety of new colours and shapes to its renowned leather collections, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its iconic products. The Meisterstück collection of writing instruments has a fresh rust edition and some of its most recognisable shapes reimagined in new sizes. The Extreme 3.0 Collection of travelware has a new bags and a travel case.

A cultural renaissance

Moonray has taken sustainable fashion up a notch with their new collections: ‘The River,’ under their ready-to-wear Fall/Winter line, and ‘Métier,’ a range of handcrafted, made-to-measure garments. The former celebrates the transient nature of personal journeys, emulating the flow of rivers through handwoven fabrics, featuring embellishments like river pearls and crystals sewn into tailored corsets, voluminous skirts and dresses and structured jackets and blazers. Métier, on the other hand, builds on the rich legacy of Moonray's parent company, Chanakya International, a renowned textile and embroidery house committed to preserving global artisanal traditions.

Hamilton meets Dior

In a much awaited collaboration, multifaceted trailblazer Lewis Hamilton has extended his flamboyance to the world of fashion, this time by joining hands with Dior. Invited by Creative Director Kim Jones, the seven-time Formula 1 champion designed a capsule lifestyle collection for the luxury brand. The line is an homage to both the racer’s African roots and his exhilarating Formula 1 universe. The rugged winter wear will be available in boutiques and online stores from October 17.
