Gaurav Gupta Unveils His Collection 'Name of Love' at Digital Couture Fashion Week

Couturier Gaurav Gupta is all set to open India’s first-ever Digital Couture Fashion Week in association with FDCI. His collection ‘Name is Love’ takes on a humanitarian, inclusive almost egalitarian approach, celebrating all forms of ‘love’, varied sexualities, gender positivity, body, colour, ethnicity and diversity. Gaurav’s many muses include a young lesbian couple Anjali and Mannauti from Gurgaon proud and living in with their parents, to Vee an 18-year-old trans-male at University in Delhi, Anjali Lama, the first Trans-female supermodel of India, Rudra and Anurag - the artistic Free young gay couple from Kota, Rajasthan & UP respectively, Nitya the infectiously vivacious curvy girl to Tarun from Hyderabad who identifies as Non-binary, Gauthami a confident young girl turned model while celebrating her Vitiligo, to Navkirat the magical alternative Poetress and unconventional models from Jharkhand, Assam and Thane. Brides Today caught up with the designer on the eve of his collection debut to talk all things couture and learn why he is especially excited about this collection.
